Which one(s) do you keep telling yourself?
We’ve all made up one of these lies about ourselves. It’s part of the human journey.
We made up these beliefs when we were kids, trying to figure out how to cope and make sense of the world.
Then we grew up, but the beliefs didn’t.
We didn’t challenge or question them.
In fact, unconsciously, we reinforced them.
Then as adults, we try to figure out why life isn’t the way we want it or why we haven’t reached our goals.
We keep coming back to the idea that if we fix this part of us – the part that’s not good enough, not worthy, not capable, insignificant, not perfect, or doesn’t belong, then we’ll be able to have the confidence, clarity, knowledge, or feeling of deserving to make our goals happen.
We keep focusing on fixing something that can’t be fixed.
You were born good enough, worthy, capable, significant, perfectly you, and you belong.
